Google SERP Preview

The Google SERP (Search Engine Results Page) preview shows a live mockup of how your page will look in Google search results. It updates in real time as you type.

The preview displays three elements, matching Google’s search result format:

  • URL — your store’s domain and the resource’s URL path.
  • Title — your meta title, truncated at 60 characters (just like Google does).
  • Description — your meta description, truncated at 160 characters.
  1. Open the Bulk Editor and select a resource.
  2. Edit the meta title or meta description field.
  3. The SERP preview updates instantly to reflect your changes.

Use the preview to check:

  • Does the title make sense when truncated?
  • Does the description include a clear call to action?
  • Is the overall appearance compelling enough to earn a click?
  • Front-load keywords — put the most important words at the beginning of the title, since Google may truncate the end.
  • Include a call to action in the description — phrases like “Shop now”, “Learn more”, or “Free shipping” can improve click-through rates.
  • Avoid duplicate meta tags — each page should have unique title and description text.
  • Stay within character limits — the character counters and SEO scores help you stay in the ideal range.
